Long Wharf VI

In the 19th Century, Long Wharf served the function that Logan Airport
does today.  The Greek Revival Customs House built on Long Wharf in
1845 was an immigration deport for Boston.  People as well as cargo
arrived at Long Wharf.  With all the warehouses lined up on Long Wharf,
commercial activity was dependent on Long Wharf.  This picture shores
Long Wharf in the foreground of Boston's shoreline of wharves in 1872.
