Long Wharf VIII
Boston city planners have long dreamed of creating the "Half Mile Avenue"
at Long Wharf. As both a tourist attraction and a beautiful public space,
the walk from the old State House to the end of Long Wharf will be an
extraordinary part of Boston's landscape one the Big Dig Project is
completed. Once Interstate 93 is buried underground, Boston citizens
and visitors will be able to experience the long walk down King (State)
Street that earned Long Wharf its name in the early 1700s.
