State House IX
When you enter Doric Hall today at the State House you can see the current
restoration project by looking through windows and into the construction
scaffolding. The architectural style of the ten columns in the spacious room
gives Doric Hall its name. Now the ten Doric columns are made up of
fireproof materials: iron and plaster, but originally the columns were carved
out of pine wood and made by artisans on the State House's front lawn.
